What was your favorite childhood story?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 09, 2007:

Sweet memories of a winter afternoon, snowed in, with "from scratch" hot chocolate, ginger cookies, and my Mom reading from Thornton Burgess' Mother West Wind Tales. I recently located and purchased many of his original volumes for my Mom. We still love them, and it feels wonderful to gift her with something that she loves. Thanks for the memory.
