Routines and Rituals

We all have our routines and rituals, and most hold on to these as though letting go or changing might cost us our lives. So it is with the profound--self limiting, self defeating, self downing inner dialogues--and with the profane--coffee before speaking in the morning.
I, too have my routines and rituals. For example, I'm not a morning person. For years, I rumbled and grumbled around, and no amount of cofeee could lighten my thundercloud spirit
and then came kids. They don't care about coffee, or rumbling, or thundercloud spirit. They just want to be happy. I learned to adjust.
Then they grew, and took over the rumbling and grumbling. I ignored it, and slowly took back my internal rumbling and grumbling routines and rituals.
then came Mr. Bill. Mr. Bill sings in the shower. Well, I might add. He also accepts hugs very well. I happen to give hugs very well. A new routine and ritual is born. He sings, I listen, I hug, he accepts the hugs.
then he changed the routine. He added more music.
I could handle it. I stopped rumbling and grumbling. We hugged longer. The kids stopped rumbling and grumbling.
then he upped the ante

This ode to Mr. Bill brought a wide smile to my face. I have a great visual. Maybe, you could make a YouTube video of the real Mr. Bill in the early morning hours. You don't mind sharing him, do you?
